The Catholic church of St Matthieu is named after Matthieu the Evangelist and dedicated to Matthieu de Gruchy hence both are represented in this icon.

The icon will be painted in the Church of St Matthieu Coin Varin the week 16th -21st September 2013.   I will be at the Church from 10am writing the icon for the church. Come and see it if you can.
